Pokernight started in the way back year of 2002 when Dan G., Matt M. and I were sitting around Castlevania, our slummy Somerville appartment scheming ways to earn a living without actaully working. I think it was Matt who realized that if you got five people in a game, and they each bet a dollar, and you won that hand, you would have won four dollars! At the time, that was more than enough to buy a super burrito at Annas. We were basically living in a burrito based economic system at the time.
Since then Pokernight has continued to happen every week, moving with us from Castlevania to Dangerhouse, and it is still going strong. The actual poker playing has become rather secondary to simply hanging out, drinking, and smoking cigarettes. People show up from around the world to catch uup with old friends and make new ones.
I hope you enjoy these archived pokernight invites. If you have any filed away from between the years 2002 and 2006 that you don’t see on this site, please forward them to blake[at]infinitydayweekend[dot]com and I’ll add them to the archive.
