The Media is abuzz about the MIT Blackjack team, which wired reported
taped hundreds of thousands of dollars to their tuxedoes and waltzed
into casinos across Vegas taking all their money. A book, a Wired article,
a planned movie. Better reception than even Negroponte got for inventing
the numbers 0 and 1 in Being Digital, and the number 2 in Being Digital II:
Return to the Matrix.

Perhaps there’s a lesson to be learned here…

So I’m having Geeta D. write up poker night for the New York Times. After
all, we tape thousands of millions of quarters to the insides of our polyester
shirts, right above the sholder holstered arms. Like the Blackjack team, only
our friends (god bless our souls) don’t need book deals to turn on you. So
toss on your faded leather coat, shove a Parliment in your mouth, take a swig
of the Curve, run your hands through your seventies haircut, pull the slide on
the Jericho 941, check the shiv in your shoe, plug the 9V into the plastique,
think to your self, “Blackjacks fer suckas.” and “I’m a sex machine.” and
then make the scene at:
