Someone Wants An Explanaton

Someone Wants An Explanaton

Well hello. It looks like Space Octopus was thirsty. Not as successful of a rendering of a cephalopod drinking as this old strip featuring Squidface the giant squid. Still cute though, no? The anatomical placement of the octopus mouth just doesn’t allow for much subtlety when it comes to public food and beverage consumption.

I got to meet Jeffrey Rowland and Jon Rosenberg last night, who are the people responsible for bringing the very entertaining comics Overcompensating and Goats to this place we like to call the Internet. They were speaking at a thing that was called a Boston Skeptics in the Pub meeting, which was like a bunch of people in black tee-shirts asking questions about how web-comics relate to skepticism but no actually it was nice. I ran out of comic or art related business cards to give them so I gave them cards for my clownfish breeding operation.

Today was the last day of no alcohol month! To celebrate, I think I’m going to go fix myself a gin and tonic. It’ll be great.

UPDATE: this gin and tonic is amazing!

So, I just discovered this site this evening while drinking gin and tonics (New Amsterdam, if you must know and bubblegum isn’t quite how I’d describe it). Anyway, I love it so far (Swans quotes make me giddy). Keep up the good work.

Printing “Hipsters Ruin Everything” on an American Apparel shirt. . . is it ironic?

  3. blake says:

One key factor to the hipster psychology is the belief that the term does not apply to them, but rather to everyone else that like dresses like them or hangs out in the same bars or listens to the same music. This is because the hipster believes that they are “authentic,” and therefor not a hipster, and that all other hipsters are trend following posers.

The “hipsters ruin everything” shirt almost certainly only appeals to hipsters. Hipsters like American Apparel, so there you go.

Also AA makes really good shirts.

possible variant for post-economic collapse/massive swine flu die-offs:

    Hipsters Ruined Everything
