Shout out to Emily Bromberg who like a decade ago realized that the best place to leave notes to your self when you are future to past time traveling is in the freezer. Helps if you have one of those adorable freezer clowns to hold it. I’m sure there are verifiable science based reasons for why this is an undeniable true fact of nature, such as that the cold field generated by the freezer keeps the time particles surrounding the note from the future from spontaneously growing microscopic time vortices that cause the information contained in the note to degrade over time, just like how it keeps meat from going bad. If one were to say leave a note for one’s past self just like on the kitchen counter on a muggy summer’s morning that said something like, “Dear past self, you should bet on the lottery tonight, the winning numbers will be 17 42 8 35 19 10. Also, you really should go to see a doctor about that spot on your right elbow, the one you haven’t noticed yet. It’s cancerous, but if you catch it now, we’ll be fine.” and by the time your past self stumbles out of bed in the afternoon and finds the note while attempting to make a pot of coffee the information would degrade to the point where all it says is “buy lottery tickets you have cancer” and that wouldn’t really be the message you were trying to send to your past self at all.
