Set The Sun Down Gently

Set The Sun Down Gently

I think I’m haivng a little bit too much fun drawing the sky in these.  This comic originally had thought bubbles, but then I realized that it functioned just as well without them.  Better, really.  You can probably tell the sorts of things he’d be thinking at a time like that; stranded in some unknown desert, last of the gin past his gullet, night time settling in.

If you’re new to the story, Gonna Get Chubby from February 5th is a good place to start.  You can also click on that little “first” button under the strip to go back to the very first strip from the far off date of January 11.  You see, what’s happened here is that poor Blake up there in the comic strip has seemingly been abandoned in the middle of some strange desert with nothing but the clothes on his back and a gin and tonic, which he has already consumed.  He was left there by a girl who is from space and her talking Space Galoshes after they had kidnapped him and separated him into skinny and chubby versions of himself.  Supposedly they are keeping the Chubby Blake to make use of his destructive powers.
