I’m pretty sure this actually happens.  Whenever I leave that thing in a room by itself I come back and it has disappeared, only to pop up hours or even days later, hiding under the bed, inexplicably wedged under the beer-fridge, or tangled up in cords behind the couch.  Simple robot accidents?  Never seems to happen when I’m in the room with the thing.
